Abstract:
   A novel approach for suppression of grain noise 
    in ultrasonic signals, based on noncoherent detector statistics 
   and signal entropy, is presented. 
   The performance of the technique is demonstrated using 
   ultrasonic B-scans from samples with coarse material structure.
